Not the most enlightening or erudite of first posts, but a little tip with Google tasks that took my fancy.
I've been using Google tasks quite extensively lately for everything from shopping lists to implementation plans, and while it has a little bit to go before it reaches prime time (An API for example? Hello? Google?), features such as the task canvas and setting up an application shortcut in Chrome make them very friendly to use.
My problem was I had a large number of tasks (20+) in a list that I wanted to move to another list. I started by manually moving them by going into the details and selecting a different list. Then a little niggling thought struck me where I remembered moving a task that had indented tasks below it and watching all the tasks move with it. I wondered if the same thing would work with moving to a different list, so created myself a parent task, went to its details and moved it... and voilĂ ! All my tasks were moved to the list and organised quite neatly under the parent task so I could move them to where I wanted.
